Rallies at East Cowes Marina 2008
East Cowes Marina is a modern purpose-built marina in a superb location at the heart of the Solent. Laid out along the eastern bank upstream from the chain ferry, the marina occupies a sheltered stretch of the Medina River.
We currently have about 100 visitor berths mostly in large bays, which can be ideal for rallies. We usually monitor the process of berthing so that we can optimise the space particularly during busy weekends. Please note: Rafting visiting boats is standard practice here , but four across a bay is probably the maximum and that's only if they're skinny boats.
Berthing
The visitor overnight rates have now been published and are as follows.
- Friday and Saturday nights £2.90 per metre LOA
- Sunday to Thursday nights £2.60 per metre LOA

Marquee and BBQ Hire
If you wish to hold a function at the marina we have a 10 x 5 metre marquee. This is set on a paved and grassed area that overlooks the marina. Approximately 50 people can sit inside the marquee and outside there are wooden picnic tables, which can seat 40, so provided the weather holds out around 90 people can be seated.

Rental of the marquee comes with use of our BBQ's included in the price. They come with cooking utensils, the supply of charcoal and lighting material. One BBQ would normally provide enough space to cook food for 20 people.
The marquee can only be used from 0800hrs until 2300hrs . Outside these hours the marquee and the surrounding area must be vacated.
The playing of any sort of music is prohibited in or around the marquee by order of the Isle of Wight Council.

The Lifeboat Inn
The pub next door to the marina office has recently been bought by Dean & Reddyhoff Ltd and is being operated by Chris Troup and his 'Coastal Inns & Taverns' company who also run The Wheatsheaf in Yarmouth, The Anchor in Cowes and The Mayflower in Lymington. After an extensive refurbishment The Lifeboat is now open for business 7 days a week with a brand new menu, serving fresh locally produced home cooked food. As an added bonus it will also be open for breakfast on Sunday mornings to cater for the marina's overnight visitors.
A new feature for Rallies held at East Cowes Marina is the opportunity to hold your rally event or function at the Lifeboat Pub, where there is a full range of menus to cater for your group. You can choose from a wide variety of menus to suit your requirements; from a Spit hog roast BBQ on the decking overlooking the marina to a full sit down a la carte dining experience.
